Temi di ricerca
David Monciardini is a social scientist with a strong interdisciplinary background, which spreads across Business Economics, Law and Sociology. He joined the University of Turin in March 2024.
His research interests revolve around the role of public policies and social norms in the relationship between business entities and socio-ecological systems.
This includes research on:
- Sustainability reporting and its regulation
- Sustainable circular ecosystems (e.g. urban food policies; right to repair; EV batteries)
- Business and human rights (e.g. modern slavery)
- Sustainable finance
- Social and environmental business accountability
His research has been published in several international academic journals including Business Ethics Quarterly; Business Strategy and the Environment; Business & Society; Journal of Business Ethics; Environmental Politics; and Regulation & Governance.
His research has benefited from generous support from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of the UK , Research England, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF) of the European Union, as well as the University of Exeter.
Prior to joining the University of Turin, David held a position as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter Business School (2015-2024) in the United Kingdom, where he still is Sustainable Futures Visiting Research Fellow.
