Obiettivi formativi

Financial education is that set of knowledge, skills and abilities that help you understand and manage your money in a responsible and informed way.

Being financially literate means being able to understand and apply some basic financial concepts. Among these:

• the choice of how much to save
• the choice of how much and how to invest the money saved
• how to manage a debt
• how to achieve your goals through long-term financial planning

The goal of the seminari is to help STUDENTS to:

• undestand financial issues and topics 
• make informed financial decisions, so that they are more likely to achieve their financial goals and improve their long-term financial and non-financial well-being
• reading and discussing relevant documents and daily news and opinions regarding the markets and the economy

• Financial Markets Functioning (review on products and services, intermediaries, marketplaces)
• Information asymmetries and the role of trust
• Financial choices along the individual life cycle

LESSON 3 AND 4 -  Practice in class

• Reading and understanding a KIID (Key Investor Information Document)
• Reading and undestarding a risk profile questionnaire

LESSON 5 AND 6 -  Reading and discussing in class

Reading, understanding, commenting economic and financial MEDIA and NEWS – topics:

• Markets and finance today
• Economic policies and trends
• Financial regulation issues

(Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Economist and more)

• 6 lessons with practical cases and review of basic/advanced concepts and theories
• A glossary to be able to understand and cope with issues 
• Assignments structured around individual and groups task
• Voluntary readings for advanced learning
• A final Game to be played in class
